Description
Mrs. Bradshaw Geum Seeds 6485. Hybrid. Perennial.
Approx. 125 seeds/pkt (400 seeds/gram)
Double rose-like scarlet blooms on long stems are attractive in the border or as cut-flowers. Not only are plants very heat and drought tolerant, they are one of spring’s first perennials to bloom and continue flowering most of the summer. With a height of 60 cm to the top of the flower stalks, these plants are best placed towards the back of the perennial border. Hardy to Zone 4.
How to Grow
Start seed indoors in a soil-less mix in mid to late February for same year flowering or direct sow outdoors in May for bloom the following June/July. Seed does require 28 days or more to germinate at 20° C. Plants can be pruned back heavily after flowering to rejuvenate growth.
