Description
Dwarf Curled Scotch Kale Seeds 1700. Heirloom Vegetable.
Approx. 400 seeds/pkt (400 seeds/gram)
Dwarf Scotch Kale is an exceptionally hardy shorter variety with a compact growth habit – a good selection for windy sites. The leaves have a white rib and are lightly curled. A handsome looking, robust growing, nutritious plant with a mild taste. First noted in the early 1860’s.
How to Grow
Sow seed 1 cm deep directly outdoors in early spring or from June to early July in rows 60 cm apart. Thin seedlings to 30 cm apart. Kale is very cold tolerant and develops its best flavour after the fall frosts. Germinations in 7-10 days.
