Description
Soapwort Seeds 6350. Open Pollinated. Perennial.
Approx. 110 seeds/pkt (440 seeds/gram)
Small, pretty pink flowers 1 cm across smother the low, semi-evergreen spreading plants. A perfect plant for hot, full sun areas, walls and rockeries. Flowers from early to mid-June through July. If desired, you can trim plants after flowering to induce fall flowers. Grows to a mature height of 10-15 cm. Perennial hardy to Zone 3.
How to Grow
Start indoors in a soil-less mix in March using peat pots (as this perennial resents transplanting) for easy transplanting to the garden in late May. Better yet sow seed directly outdoors in early May or late fall. Cover seed with a fine sifting of soil and keep moist during the germination period. Sow 5 g per 2 m².
