A colour breakthrough for Rudbeckia fanciers. Bright cherry red shades with dark burgundy to black centre. Plants bloom all summer long. Avoid crowded conditions as good air circulation improves foliage health. While Cherry Brandy may self seed and sometimes persist as a short lived perennial, it is best to treat this Rudbeckia as an annual. Note: This is an annual Rudbeckia.
How to Grow
Seed can be started indoors in a soil-less mix in mid late March. Germinates at 20° C in 14 to 21 days. Grow on under lights at a slightly cooler temperature before hardening off and transplanting outdoors to a sunny spot. Space plants 30 cm apart in the garden. As this variety grows very quickly from seed, it can also be directly sown in the garden in late May and early June after the danger of frost has passed
