How to Grow
In a sunny site with average soil, direct-sow seeds no more than 6 mm deep and 2.5 cm apart. Seeding can be done anytime from mid-April through mid-July. Successive sowings every two to three weeks work best. Thin out seedlings to 15 cm apart in the garden. Seed exposure to light benefits germination. When flower head begins to brown, cut the entire head off and hang it upside down over a tray or bag to collect the mature seed as it falls out. Germination takes 7-14 days.
