Baby greens can be harvested from 30 days after planting with full size savoyed leaves taking up to 60 days. Often noted as Dinosaur Kale, Lacinato has been around since at least 1800.
How to Grow
Sow seed directly outdoors 1 cm deep in early spring or from June to early July in rows 60 cm apart. Thin seedlings to 30 cm apart. Kale is very cold tolerant and develops its best flavour after the fall frosts. Germination occurs in 7-10 days.
