Description
Phoenix Nasturtium Seeds 5807. Open Pollinated. Annual.
Approx. 20 seeds/pkt (6 seeds/gram)
A unique new flower type with split petals in fiery shades of gold, orange and red. Beautiful foliage resembles ivy. Compact 30 cm high plants. Flower production suffers if fertilized or planted in rich soil. Ideal for containers, beds and borders.
How to Grow
As nasturtiums resent transplanting, directly sow seed into well drained soil in late May 2.5 cm deep and 5 cm apart, thinning seedlings to 20 cm apart. Seed generally germinates within 12 days. Full sun is preferred. Partial shade is recommended in hot summer areas. Blooms have a peppery taste and are quite popular as a salad garnish. We recommend removing spent flowers to help lengthen the blooming period.
